I crewed this aircraft at Travis Air Force in the early 1980. I was also assigned as the Dedicated Crew Chief on this aircraft. I have a lot of good memories that come to mind about this aircraft. On a few occasion and (more than once), I have launched this aircraft on a last "Black Name Initial" (no aircraft discrepancies). And, the last time I saw this aircraft was during Desert Shield/Storm in 1990. I will surely miss this (my) aircraft.

Aircraft 670000167 was also one of the four aircraft my "team" maintained during its (and my)tenure at Westover ARB. I don't have any significant good (or bad) memories that come to mind about this bird other than it was one that we relied on to get home in pretty good shape after a mission. There isn't one C5 better or worse than any other, they all keep you busy and they all like to fly. when they sit on the ramp, they break! The cold ramp at WARB makes it even more so!Two out of four of "my"old birds retired? Good thing I'm not getting older!
